They said she was covered with grey ashes of coal,
burnt out, worthless, dry and cold.
But what they knew not was far from their imagination,
she glowed with warm embers embedded deep with determination.
And dared to live a life on her own terms,
a life of dignity, courage and concern.
The storms they threw at her, fanned out her flames,
and she rose high above their silly games.
All that she needed was just a spark,
to ignite the fire and light up the dark.
For now they could see who she really was,
not just a woman but a woman with a cause…..
